Wetlands are essential for the environmental balance, but they are now under considerable threat. Fifty years after the Ramsar Convention, the challenge of protecting these areas is still relevant.
More than ever, nature-based solutions are needed to meet these challenges and this is why they must be made known to local authorities so that this practice can be generalised throughout France.
Within the French IUCN committee, we are working on nature-based solutions and invite local elected officials to favour this type of tool.
